PCB4 Schedule Preview

There’s been an expression of interest into the questions/discussion/questions that will be asked at Podcamp Boston 4. It’s only fair that someone who would travel from far away wants to know what to expect at a Podcamp and we’re happy to oblige!

We’ve added a Schedule Preview page with discussion leaders, their questions and a description so you can browse and keep up to date on what will be happening at Podcamp Boston this year.

Note that this is only a preview, discussions are subject to change by the leaders. The dates and times will be set in a few weeks, at which time you’ll have the actual schedule to help you plan what questions you want to get answers to or discussions you want to participate in.

PCB4 Announcements – Update on hotel, ticket refunds and more.

Just a couple of quick announcements at this point.

• All tickets are non-refundable as of July 1st. The last moment you can get a refund is 11:59 PM ET June 30, 2009.
• You can now register to lead a discussion!
  
• We’re working on securing a group of rooms at a very nearby hotel.  Once we have those rooms available we will announce via email and let you know where you can register for them.

Register to Lead a Discussion at PCB4!

Past Podcamp Boston weekends have included some great sessions AND discussions.  This year since our focus is on figuring out the future of social media.  We want our “presenters” to become discussion leaders and ask the questions, moderate the resulting discussion and lead us to the answers of the future.

What questions do you want the answers to?

Here’s where it gets interesting. You don’t need to have the answers to your question in order to moderate a discussion. In fact, it’s better if you don’t have the answers to your question, because you’ll be much more likely to help create a true conversation, rather than be a talking head at the front of the room.

Podcamp Boston 4 Awaits!

Finally! The search for a venue for Podcamp Boston 4 has now concluded and we’re happy to announce that this year’s Podcamp Boston will be held on August 8-9, 2009 at the University of Massachusetts Boston Harborside campus.

Beginner, intermediate, or advanced – what’s next is on everyone’s mind, right?
